Released in early December 2009, this is the updated -2 CD- version of Good Times.
It features original masters, undubbed masters and several outtakes. Many of these are previously unreleased. With this release we now have all takes of 'My Boy' and 'Loving Arms', 'Take Good Care Of Her', 'Spanish Eyes' and 'Talk About The Good Times'. We have all but one take of 'I Got A Feelin' In My Body' (take 5) , 'If That Isn't Love (take 3) and 'She Wears My Ring' (take 9). In addition we have large portions of 'I've Got A Thing About You Baby' and 'Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues'
The mix on 'I've Got A Thing About You Baby' (July 1973) is close to perfect. But, somehow the power of 'I Got A Feelin' In My Body' are partly lost in this new mix presented here. Not a good thing!
In general the sound quality is excellent, however!
