DINNER AT EIGHT
Again we get a live concert, this time from Las Vegas 1975. FTD found a reel to reel recording of the dinner show from December 13!
The midnight show from December 13 was released on the bootlegs Just Pretend several years ago. Elvis was vocally top-notch at this time. Kathy Westmorelands 'My Heavenly Father' has unfortunately been axed.

ELVIS 30 #1 HITS
Elvis 30 # 1 Hits contains 31 top hits, including 'A Little Less Conversation' (remix).
All tracks on this album have been remixed from scratch, focusing on Elvis' vocal. The result is astonishing. Several of the songs appear as if they were recorded recently.
For some strange reasons BMG decided to include a new live track of 'The Wonder Of You'. It's beyond anyone's guess why they did so. This new version is really lousy compared to the single version.

THE NASHVILLE MARATHON
"The Nashville Marathon" features 20 tracks from the June and September 1970 sessions in Studio B, Nashville.
These sessions produced many great songs, but also several sub-standard ones. A lot of those last mentioned are featured on this CD. All tracks have been severely re-mixed.

TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER
Containing 100 tracks, 99 of which are previously unreleased alternate versions.
There are lots of interesting finds, but also some surprising inclusions, like the alternate master of 'Long Legged Girl' and other movie outtakes.

ELVIS VS JXL
This single has been quite "hot" some time now and is topping the UK charts among others. And since it also tops the Norwegian charts I simply had to include it on my site...:-)
Featuring remixed versions of 'A Little Less Conversation' (vocal from 1968). It is used for a "Nike" commercial.
Not my favorite thing (with Elvis' vocal far back in the mix), but it is fun all the same to see Elvis topping the music charts in 2002. |
