The sound of this audience recording is poor, possibly bordering on terrible, especially during the first number. Nevertheless, it’s fairly easy to hear what the man is singing and saying, and the band is pretty audible too.
This is the second to last show from his second tour after returning to live performances. It’s Elvis at his peak, and that alone is reason enough to get this recording. The set list is semi-rare for 1970 with great renditions of "How Great Thou Art" and "Blue Christmas", the former being very close to the studio recording and the latter being pure fun.
I think that every serious Elvis concert collector should own at least one show from each tour and hotel season. This is the third release from the November, 1970 tour, the other two being On The Road Again from November 11 and The Thrill Goes On from November 12. On the Road Again wins hands down on both performance and sound and should be the obvious choice. However, Go Cat Go can be recommended too—if you can live with the inferior sound.
