Review by Ken Jensen
This show has previously been out on Storm over Portland (CD 2) and Back in Portland but never in this great sound quality. The source of the Memory Records release is a first generation stereo cassette copy as the original mastertape has been lost. The bonus tracks stem from a second generation mono tape copy. Digitally remastered and restored.
The show itself is fantastic, with a killer band and Elvis in great voice. No soundboards are known to exist from this April, 1973 tour, so this is the best representation thus far. Shining over Portland is a keeper. Don’t miss it.
